Consultations - FAQs
How many consultations do I need?
This all depends on your individual case, the amount of time and support you need, what your health goal is, the complexity of the case and other circumstances. We can discuss this at your Introductory call.
How often do we have consultations?
This is again dependent on the individual case and the health goal we are working on. Some people benefit better with frequent appointments, maybe weekly or fortnightly to start with, as this has shown to be more effective in terms of habit change and accountability. For most cases, it is recommended we at least meet once per month.
How are the sessions conducted?
Consultation sessions are via Microsoft Teams video call, or in person, at one of the clinic locations or another location, as agreed. For video calls, please ensure a stable internet connection.
What paperwork is involved?
You will have a Health Questionnaire and a 3-day Food Diary to complete. There will also be some T & C's to sign. When you book your Package or start your Individual sessions, you get a Welcome Pack, with all the paperwork explaining things in detail.
What support is included?
When we work together, you will receive a great amount of support in helping you towards achieving your health goal. It is a wellness journey where I am there to guide you. Please see here the support you will get.
What are the fees and payment options?
To make it as flexible and suitable for each client, there are various options depending on the amount of support that is needed and the complexity of the case. We can discuss what is most suitable at our Introductory chat.
All client cases start with an initial 90 minute consultation, which is split into 2 parts - 2 appointments, 45 minutes each. This is ideally within a week.
What do the fees include?
The fees include not just the consultation appointment session time, but also brief phone calls if needed and unlimited to and fro messaging time. It also includes access to your own client portal in the Practice Better app, with its many features including messaging, documents and journalling. Also included is a lot of behind the scenes work that is involved in working on your individual case. This includes research time, reading, preparing documents, notes, plans, meal ideas, writing to GP, interpreting tests, checking supplements and drug nutrient interactions, speaking with supplement and testing companies, analysing and making clinical judgements, liaising with other health professionals etc.
Essentially you are paying to have a qualified nutritionist as your support and guide for your health matters throughout our time working together.
