About me

About me

My name is Lamínn, and here's a little bit about me...

  • I graduated and qualified as a nutritional therapist/nutritionist after studying for 3 years at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition.
  • I am very passionate about nutrition and healthy eating and firmly believe that what we eat and the health of our gut and its microbiome is the root course of many chronic conditions. There is a huge link between our gut and the rest of our body and therefore looking after our digestive health and being mindful of the food we consume is of paramount importance to both our mental and physical well-being.
  • I have always been a curious person and my favourite question is 'why' and my interest in nutrition and functional medicine grew from this deep belief that figuring out the 'why' addresses the root cause of illness. It makes more sense to me knowing the 'why' as tackling this would help resolve existing issues as well as prevent future potential conditions. It seems far more logical than just putting a 'mask' on the symptom or a 'plaster' on the problem.
  • Before nutrition, I started my journey into complementary therapies in 2011, training in massage therapy at the Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine. I specialised in sports massage and have 10 years, literally 'hands on' experience of helping alleviate people's aches and pains.
  • Before starting on a new career path in complementary therapies, I was a management accountant for many years, working for media, publishing and charity companies.
  • I am passionate about complementary therapies and the natural way of healing and optimising our wellbeing.
  • My motivation is always to helping others and bring ease to suffering.
  • I like to practice yoga and mindfulness meditation.
  • I love to run and have taken part in numerous races. I have ran two full marathons and numerous half marathons. I really hope to run London Marathon!
  • I also love dancing and enjoy watching Strictly!
